Hollywood Stock Exchange Site
This site does qualify as a virtual community because there are forums for the users to discuss any topics they want and respond to other user's posts. They have the same interest because they have become members on the site. As a potential "third place" this site is a neutral, public space and it allows members to get their opinions in, in a conversational manner that is playful. It seems like the elders of the site would just be site moderators. There is a forum for users to leave their feedback and support and I imagine this is where users could leave complaints because next to specific forums and comments I could not find a specific button to report individual posts and comments. The site makes money through advertising because it promotes movies and TV shows.
I did not have any interaction with other users because while I did read some of the forums I found them confusing to navigate through and thought that the organization when looking at posts and comments was difficult to follow. This is the only reason, if they were better organized than I would have been more inclined and wanting to interact with other users.

Anime Website
Anime Freak TV does encompass being a community through having a general hobby/interest throughout the site. It has all different types of anime and has links to anime episodes and movies. It does apply to a certain group of people, being people who like anime. However, the site allows for little interaction between users. The forums are confusing to use and there is never really anywhere to have conversations with others about anime. So I would consider this a similar interest site but definitely not a community.

Couch Surfing Website
1. When I first saw the URL for this site I was expecting it to be similar to StumbleUpon where it would show you fun and interesting websites to look at while "sitting on the couch".
2. When I initially went on the site I was very confused and thought I mistyped the URL and tried to correct it multiple times and Googled it because I thought I was on the wrong site. I thought this because the name of the site made no sense to me following the information on the site.
3. I thought the site was designed, as I mentioned above, to give the user links to sites that are fun to look at while "sitting on the couch".
4. I think the site is run by an everyday person who had the idea to create the site; I do not think it is run by a school or business.
5. I would not consider becoming a member because this site has nothing that appeals to me. The service that the site offers is not something that I would ever consider doing.
6. I have concerns about this community that people are not saying who they really are and if I was to signup and have interest in traveling and living with someone or having someone come and live with me that they would not be who they said they were and turned out to be dangerous or something along those lines.
